Managing Permissions
Control who has access to view, reply, and configure your shared inboxes.
Slack Channel Privacy
Connect relies on Slack's native channel privacy settings for the bulk of its access control. If you map an inbox to a Private Channel, only the members invited to that specific Slack channel will be able to read or reply to the incoming emails.
Admin vs. Member Roles
- Workspace Admins: Anyone with Admin privileges in your Slack workspace automatically has full access to the Connect Dashboard to add, remove, and map inboxes.
- Standard Members: Standard Slack users can interact with emails in the channels they have access to, but cannot alter the routing settings or add new email accounts unless granted explicit permission in the Connect App settings.
